TAC Art & Design Sale impressions

Last weekend I showed my work during TAC Art & Design Sale in Eindhoven. It was very nice to be in Eindhoven again. The Sale was quite a succes this year. Across my table Yildiz Hoolwerf showed her beautiful bags. The last picture shows work from various designers: Studio Joon & Jung (cups left on the table), Joon Lee ("drink link tea set" right on the table) and wallets from Boamin.

My work is for sale at De Invasie. De Invasie is a great Belgium initiative to unite designers from Belgium and the Netherlands in one online shop. Every item can be bought directly from the designer.

TAC Art & Design Sale, Eindhoven

This weekend I will be selling my work at the Art & Design Sale in Eindhoven:

Tijdens de zesde editie van de Art & Design Sale op zaterdag 15 en zondag 16 mei in TAC (Temporary Art Centre) in Eindhoven kun je als liefhebber van kunst en design je hart ophalen. Wilde je altijd al een prachtige foto voor aan de wand, een one-of-a-kind designstuk bemachtigen of gewoon lekker rondsnuffelen en inspiratie opdoen? Grijp je kans en kom naar de Sale!TACgenoten, academies, kunstinstellingen en kunstenaarscollectieven tonen traditiegetrouw hun producten in stands, maar dit jaar worden ze daarnaast ook op een catwalk getoond. Hoogtepunt hiervan is de modeshow, die de deelnemers van de Sale op zowel op zaterdag als op zondag organiseren.De deelnemers variëren van schilders, tekenaars, fotografen, tekstschrijvers, modeontwerpers en multimedia designers tot keramisten. Alvast tussen de collecties neuzen?

Het Domijn, Idiots

Yesterday Erik and I visited Afke and Floris at Het Domijn in Weesp. They just moved in a very beautiful atelier. (Floris worked very hard the last couple of months to renovate it)

Het Domijn is a location in Weesp, where a lot of artists have their studios. There are painters, but also a lot of artists work for theaterproductions. For instance there is a company, which rents oldtimers to filmmakers. Yesterday it was open for public, you could sit and drink something and listen to nice music and you could visit all the studios.

Afke and Floris made a small presentation of their work. I took some pictures. They work a lot with stuffed animals, which died of natural causes. (just to let you know)

I very much like the stories Afke and Floris tell in their work.

Milk

Beautiful new series of photographs from Frank Visser and Karin Nussbaumer for Milk magazine. When I was still working at Studio IJM I made the illustration that is used in the first picture. I'm always surprised how Frank uses colour, hand-made props and redecorated objects (like covering a chair in paper for example) to tell a story.Making a new world with all those ingredients is something that makes his work so very special.

Some weeks ago my boyfriend worked together with Katja Gruijters on a project.
"Katja Gruijters is a food professional. She designs products, spots consumer trends and develops concepts for companies around human desires." She has very interesting ideas.
She did a project about refused fruits and vegetables. Here you can see and read (in Dutch) more about this project.
The apple on the pictures she gave to my boyfriend. I think it would be very nice to be able to buy this in supermarkets.
