Starting from tomorrow lovely sisters Bep and Siska will have their first pop-up store in Antwerp for three days.

They will sell work from young designers from Belgium and the Netherlands.

My work will be present as well. For more information and a list of designers check out their facebookpage. And you need to have an invitation! I think you can get it at their facebookpage or send me a message and I will give you one.

Pity I'm not in Antwerp this weekend, I think it will be sooo nice..

Pictures taken in Gent last September while celebrating my fathers birthday with my boyfriend, my father, mother, sister and her boyfriend. We had a very nice weekend, walked a lot around, had nice food and stayed at a fantastic guesthouse.

DDW in Eindhoven

These pictures I took in Eindhoven during the Dutch Design Week at the end of October. Very nice to be there again and to meet some old friends.

new work

It's been awhile since my last post. After the fair Meesterlijk things got so busy.
New shops! (see the list) and I'm working two days at BonBonBoutique at Trunk.
Finally everything is settling down. I like being in the shop, it's so nice to meet people and hear comments.
And I hope to update my shop very soon with my new products.

Mr. Jonathan in Elle Decor Italia

Remember this post? The result is shown above. I was very surprised myself, I only helped with the stripes and didn't see the shoot. It's always so nice to see what Frank does with space and colour. And I also think Elle Decor made beautiful spreads.
Photography is from Karin Nussbaumer.

Rosmarijnsteeg 12, Amsterdam

At the beginning of this year Bonne and I had to close studio BonBon. But since a month Bonne started a collaboration with another shop. I will be selling my work there as well and will be in the shop for 2 days a week. Every Friday + one week on Saturday and the other week on Thursday.
It's very exciting. You're welcome to visit us if you are around!

see bonbonboutique.nl for more info

Meesterlijk (2)

Been absent for a while on this blog. The fair took a lot of time. It was nice to share the stand with Eva, Sophie, Neeltje and Myriam. It was a good experience, met a lot of nice people. (especially other designers, like Hester Zagt, Manon Garritsen and Zward)
The pictures turned out to be a bit blurry, so will show you only this impression.

After the fair I started immediately with a new project, will tell you about it in the next post.

cardboard furniture was made by: kartonwinkel.nl

Been quite busy lately with preparations for the fair Meesterlijk. It starts this Friday and can be visited till Sunday 2 October. (the Woonbeurs ("furniture" fair) is presented at the same time, and has the same entrance + ticket)
I'm very curious how it will be. Never had a stand at a fair before.
I'll be sharing a stand with Eva Schreuder, Sophie Duran and Zigt Sieraden.
If you are planning to visit the fair, you're very welcome to pass by our stand. (nr.82)

Will show you some pictures during or after the fair.

weekend in Belgium (2)

weekend in Belgium

Last weekend Sophie took me to Belgium as a gift for my birthday (last April). We went to Dranouter, to the folk festival. It's such a great festival, nice people, beautiful surroundings and good music. Eight years ago we went for the first time and this was the second time. The festival got bigger in the meantime, but is still a good size. On Saturday the weather wasn't so good, but the artists play in a big tent, so we could listen dry and warm. On Sunday we went to Watou. Sophie went there before to visit an "art festival" and wanted to show this little village to me. The art festival was there again as well. On very nice locations, such as old houses and farms, work from artists, inspired by poems was shown. Very worthwhile to visit.

found this fabric and handmade balls in an estate sale in Detroit. I left the fabric rolled up the way it was.

shop update at De Invasie

I've updated my shop at De Invasie with new porcelain brooches and necklaces.

Elsa made the plants (and the pots) in the first picture all by hand from paper.

work in progress at IJM

These last days I helped Frank and his team making a new set. It will be used for a Dutch magazine. If it's published I'll show you.
We covered a wall and a bookshelf with paper. The result is always so nice. The wallpaper glue adds a nice touch to the paper and changes the colour slightly.

The paper and the soft colours made the whole room feel very calm. Wonderful to work in on a hot day like yesterday.

More images in my next two posts.

Don't know why I didn't show you more pictures of IJM when I started to work in my new studio. I'm planning to share more from now on. It's such a great place to go to for work.

My work is for sale at a new webshop: Vespoe.

"Vespoe, a Manhattan-based startup, is a new marketplace pioneered by students, alumni and faculty of art and design schools in the US and abroad to sell their works directly to buyers worldwide."(quoted from their website)
